The U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan received the following information concerning a threat to U.S. citizens living in Afghanistan:
As of early-July 2015, there is information suggesting militants are planning an attack in the Shar-e Now neighborhood, Kabul City, Afghanistan. The target may be a guesthouse or western office. No further information was available regarding the target, timing, or method of any planned attack.
Review your personal security plans; remain aware of your surroundings, including local events; and monitor local news stations for updates. Maintain a high level of vigilance and take appropriate steps to enhance your personal security.
