On behalf of the staff and family of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, I wish everyone in Afghanistan, and Afghans all across the world, a Happy New Year. As an old Afghan proverb says, “a better year is revealed through its Spring.” Every year Nowruz brings with it the promise of a better future and gives people a renewed sense of hope. As this winter ends, ushering in the season of birth and renewal, we wish you and your family a new year of health, happiness, prosperity, and peace.
